CONVEX SHEARS

$30 per shear

Each pair of shears is treated with care and attention. They are inspected for damage, and taken apart for sharpening. When finished, each pair is rigorously tested to ensure it cuts correctly.

GROOMING SHEARS

$20 per shear

Groomers use a wide variety of shears, and here at Jhony's Sharpening, we sharpen them all. We sharpen long shears, curved shears, curved texturizers and chunkers.

5-IN-1 CLIPPER BLADES

$14 per set

5-in-1 blades get taken apart and sharpened. Each blade is inspected upon completion and tested to make sure they are cutting exactly how you want them to.

$12 per set

Large animal clipper blades are sharpened on our large sharpening wheel, and quality checked on a special rub block.

STANDARD CLIPPER BLADES

$10 per blade set

LARGE ANIMAL CLIPPER BLADES

Each clipper blade is taken apart for deep cleaning and adjustments. Comb and cutter are sharpened. Each finished clipper blade is lubricated, inspected for correct set, and tested on fur to ensure sharpening was done correctly. Wide blades are $1 extra each.

What's the process like for shears?

I am able to sharpen shears on site. I take shears out to my vehicle, loaners are available. Each shear takes about 15-30 minutes to sharpen.

It's taken apart and both sides of the blades are sharpened. Each shear is tested to make sure it is functioning properly by me, and I also carry hair for stylists to try out also.

I do not require a minimum amount of shears to stop by.

What's the process like for clipper blades?

Clipper blades are done on site. Each clipper blade is taken apart and sanitized in a ultrasonic cleaner. Tension spring and socket are adjusted. Cutter blade and comb are both sharpened. Each clipper blade is then reassembled and tested on testing string and fur.
